On June 12, The Anthonian Institute took part in the celebration of the 124th Proclamation of Philippine Independence that was held at the Philippine Embassy in Warsaw last Sunday, 12th June 2022.

It started with the flag raising ceremony, followed by the Independence Day messages of the President, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, and the Labor Secretary delivered by Ambassador Leah, DCM/Consul General Mardomel, and First Secretary/Consul Alena., respectively.

The Anthonian Institute led the celebration of the Eucharist, presided by Rev. Fr. Ronie Gumagay, RCJ, with the hymns of praise from the Filipino church choir. Her Excellency Philippine Ambassador to Poland, Madam Leah Ruiz also delivered her Independence Day message, and was followed by rendition of the song "Bayan Ko" (My Homeland).

During the reception, sumptuous Filipino dishes and desserts were shared. Many Filipinos had gathered to meet and celebrate together. A Song Festival followed, and some nationalistic songs were sung such as, Ako ay Pilipino, Tagumpay Natin Lahat, and Dakilang Lahi. At the same time, Consular services were also made available for the Filipino Community.

Hopes and prayers for all the Filipinos both in the Philippines and Overseas to continue showing their patronage and love for the country.
