Last June 1, 2023, Fr. Herbie Canete, RCJ, the Superior of the community of the Anthonian Institute celebrated his 25 Years of Religious Profession in the Congregation of the Rogationist of the Heart of Jesus.
It was on June 1 that he professed for the first time his vows of Chastity, Poverty, Obedience and the Zealous command of Jesus, the Rogate. The celebration was presided by Fr. Herbie himself that coincides the Solemnity of St. Hannibal Mary di Francia, the Founder of the Rogationists and the Daughters of Divine Zeal. In his homily, he sighted some points of the life of St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia especially of the different themes during the Triduum. At the later part of his reflection, he also underlined the journey that he had gone through especially in his formation years up until this time of his being a missionary in Poland. In his reflection, it was not easy for him to be a Religious because it entails a lot of responsibilities and dedication. But he relied on the grace of God to sustain him in the Vocation God has given to him. The celebration was attended by some Filipinos and some Polish friend. There was a sharing of food after the celebration. Fr. Herbie at the end thank those who became part of the celebration especially the community and the people that extended their greetings for the said celebration.
